First and foremost, the municipal competition was organized in a group-based manner through both classroom teaching and lesson presentation, both of which were limited to using the General Technology textbooks of Guangdong Education Publishing House, namely the first and second volumes of the compulsory courses. Meanwhile, the topics were chosen by the contestants themselves, and the competition focused on the theme of ‘Technology Empowering Education and Practice Inspiring Innovation’.

In addition, eighteen teachers from various middle schools across the city have devoted themselves to meticulous lesson preparation and dynamic teaching, whose performance fully demonstrated the excellent professional competence and solid teaching skills of the general technology teachers in our city, showcasing the diverse charm of the general technology curriculum.

To conclude, the lesson ‘Building a Crane in Realistic Context | Exploring the Stability of Structures’ given by Anqing Foreign Language School’s teacher Zhu Guangyin in this competition guided students to observe and think actively through hands-on activities, enabling them to understand the connotation of concepts, stimulating their interest in exploration, mobilizing their existing life experiences, and fostering a sense of overall awareness.
